Photo Facial is the world’s most powerful IPL (intense pulsed light) device available in the USA. This treatment is considered the “gold standard” in advanced skin rejuvenation, and here at Honest Skin & Aesthetics, we love the results – as do our clients!
The light energy emitted by the Photo Facial device gently heats the upper layers of your skin, which works to trigger natural cell regeneration. This encourages the growth of healthy, gorgeous skin, restoring your natural beauty. As a result, you’ll enjoy more vibrant and youthful skin without surgery and with minimal downtime. At Honest Skin & Aesthetics, we make your journey to healthy skin a positive and empowering experience.
A Photo Facial treatment is a transformative solution for addressing common skin concerns such as age spots, rosacea, sun damage, freckles, and uneven skin tone. Using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, this non-invasive procedure targets areas of pigmentation and redness, stimulating collagen production and promoting overall skin rejuvenation.
By delivering precise pulses of light energy to the skin, Photo Facial treatments effectively diminish the appearance of age spots, reduce redness associated with rosacea, and improve the texture and tone of the skin. Experience clearer, more radiant skin with Photo Facial treatments tailored to your unique skincare needs at Honest Skin & Aesthetics.
Photo Facial is a non-invasive and typically gentle procedure with virtually no downtime. In most cases, you can return to work as soon as your treatment is over. Our skincare expert will provide you with more information on what to expect. You will need to avoid direct sunlight, and ensure your skin is well protected with sunscreen when you go out, as your skin will be sensitive to the UV rays during the healing process.

A Photo Facial with IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that uses broad-spectrum light to target various skin concerns such as sun damage, age spots, freckles, rosacea, and uneven skin tone. It stimulates collagen production, resulting in smoother, more radiant skin.
During an IPL treatment, pulses of broad-spectrum light are applied to the skin, targeting pigment and blood vessels. The light is absorbed by melanin (pigment) and hemoglobin (blood vessels), causing them to break down and fade over time. This process encourages the skin to regenerate, revealing a more even complexion.
Do's:
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 14 days before your treatment.
Use Sunscreen: Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher sunscreen daily, even on cloudy days.
Moisturize: Keep your skin well-hydrated leading up to your appointment.
Inform Your Provider: Inform your provider about any medications, skincare products, or medical conditions you have.
Don'ts:
Tanning: Avoid intentional tanning, including sunbathing, tanning beds, and self-tanners.
Waxing or Tweezing: Refrain from waxing or tweezing the treatment area for at least two weeks before your appointment.
Chemical Peels: Avoid chemical peels or other abrasive treatments that may irritate the skin.
After an IPL treatment, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, or darkening of pigment spots, which typically subside within a few hours to a few days. You may also notice an improvement in skin texture and tone over the following weeks as collagen production increases.
It is essential to avoid direct sunlight for at least 48 hours after an IPL treatment to prevent complications such as hyperpigmentation or sunburn. Even after this period, it's crucial to continue using sunscreen and protecting your skin from excessive sun exposure to maintain your results.
Failure to avoid direct sunlight before an IPL treatment can increase the risk of adverse reactions, such as burns, hyperpigmentation, or uneven results. Direct sunlight exposure, even with sunscreen, can compromise the skin's integrity and interfere with the effectiveness of the treatment.
IPL is generally safe for most skin types, but it may not be suitable for individuals with very dark skin tones or a recent tan. Your provider will assess your skin type and condition during the consultation to determine if IPL is the right treatment for you.
The number of IPL treatments needed depends on your skin concerns and desired outcomes. Most people require a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart to achieve optimal results. Your provider will recommend a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.
