The non-surgical lip augmentation procedure takes only a few minutes to perform. Before administering the dermal fillers, we may apply a topical anesthetic – your comfort matters to us! The numbing requires a few minutes to work, though some of our clients do not bother with the numbing, as the dermal fillers also have a numbing agent.

Our expert injector uses a very fine needle to inject your dermal fillers to enhance the shape, volume, and definition of your lips. As they begin work immediately, you’ll be able to see the changes as they occur, and we’ll focus on ensuring a beautifully balanced, natural-looking appearance.

Will I be Camera-Ready Right Away?

There is no real recovery time associated with lip augmentation, but you can expect some degree of swelling or minor bruising. However, these side effects are mild enough that most people go right back to their routine. If you plan to go to a special event, plan your appointment about one week in advance, so you look your best.

After Your Lip Augmentation

YOU DO NOT HAVE MANY RULES AFTER A LIP AUGMENTATION, BUT TAKE THESE PRECAUTIONS:

Avoid strenuous exercise for about 48 hours.
Avoid excessive heat like saunas and hot tubs for about 48 hours.
Do not massage your lips.
If swelling or bruising occurs, apply an ice pack for a few minutes at a time (do not apply ice directly to the lips, place a cloth in between).
Sleep with your head slightly elevated for a night or two.

What should I avoid before and after my lip filler treatment?

Before your lip filler treatment, avoid consuming alcohol, aspirin, fish oil and other blood-thinning medications for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of bruising. After the treatment, avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and alcohol for 24-48 hours. Refrain from massaging or pressing on your lips to ensure optimal results. Drinking from straws or heavy kissing.

Can lip fillers be combined with other treatments?

Yes, lip fillers can be combined with other treatments, such as a lip flip or other facial rejuvenation procedures. A lip flip involves the use of a neuromodulator (like Botox®) to relax the muscles around the lips, enhancing their appearance further.
